PathWest has commenced a full product conversion from the current Safety-Lok™ Butterfly Wingset to the new BD UltratouchTM Push Button Wingset.

What is changing?

From 1 July 2026, PathWest will stock and supply the BD UltraTouchTM Push Button Wingset. If your clinic intends to order this product through PathWest, it is important that clinical staff are fully trained and confident with the device prior to use.

What this means for your clinic

  • We strongly encourage your clinical staff to complete the BD UltraTouchTM training to ensure they are fully trained and confident before transitioning to the new device.
  • The BD UltraTouchTM Push Button Wingset can be ordered through the usual PathWest supply ordering process from 1 July 2026.
