PathWest Laboratory Medicine WA is pleased to offer Australia’s first NATA-accredited test for Hereditary Alpha-Tryptasaemia (HαT).
Benefits of HαT testing
HaT is an important differential to Mastocytosis where there is elevated mast cell tryptase. In this setting early identification can:

Test information
- Cost:$150 (WA public patients, billed to requesting institution) / $175 (external / private patients)
- Turnaround: 4weeks
- Sample: 3 mL EDTA blood
- Eligibility: Patients with persistently elevated serum tryptase or clinical suspicion of HαT.
- Accreditation: NATA-accredited, developed by PathWest Immunology.
